Fardin Barekat, EIT
Research Analyst, BCIT Applied Science Department

Fardin Barekat has a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia. After graduation in 2011, Fardin gained experience both as an electrical engineer and mechanical engineer in different industries including automotive, food, artificial intelligence, and instrumentation and controls. The combination of electrical and mechanical engineering gives Fardin a unique advantage for design and fabrication of electromechanical systems. Fardin also co-founded Zen Maker Lab, which offers quality science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM) education and innovative programs for kids and youth across the Lower Mainland.
